Steamboat Springs, Colorado is the quintessential place for outdoors lifestyle with class and culture. It has taken Paul and his family awhile to return to Colorado but landed in Steamboat. Originally they chose Colorado as home in late 1993. His children were born in Fort Collins, another awesome community they were lucky to live in.
Paul visited Steamboat Springs for the first time in 1997 with his three-week-old daughter and family. Paul and his wife were silly, adventurous parents and camped on Rabbit Ears Pass for a night, then spent the remainder of their visit in town.
Following the path in front of them, Paul and his wife, Kristen, moved to Hamilton, Montana. Montana is awesome. Tamarack trees, Ponderosa Pines, open water rafting, big thunderstorms, and views of the Tetons from Big Sky, hot springs and campfires. They raised their kids there and returned to Colorado for the territory, communities, and great college system.
Steamboat Springs is home. It has a lot of the characteristics of Montana, with steeper mountains, abundance of rivers, and smiling people. Few places lend themselves to having three National Wilderness Areas in less than an hour’s drive. Steamboat Springs is one of these places in Colorado. My family has visited these wilderness areas often, taking kids, a granddaughter, and enjoy mountain life further.
Steamboat Springs also has great opportunities for Paul. New rafting areas, tall mountains to climb, and great sunsets. Continuing his real estate brokering career, focusing on out of town real estate buyers, Paul finds himself helping many people who are new to town and many good friends.
Paul's family has seen greater opportunities too. His kids have great colleges to grow within academic systems. Paul's wife has found new friends and furthered her career. Both of them enjoy their time with their grandbaby, hot springs, and being in a community that is world class.
