Carol Stewart and her husband Doug are longtime residents of Boca Grande and are raising their teen boys here. This has enabled Carol to experience first-hand the dynamics of the community; including its school systems, rich history and the changes that have occurred in this coastal region. She offers an exceptional level of market knowledge as part of her accomplished background in Gasparilla Island real estate. Carol is one of the area’s top producing property specialists in Boca Grande. Carol has earned the Certified International Property Specialists Designation, Certified Real Estate Brokerage Management Designation, is an e-PRO Certified Internet Professional; and holds her Resort and Second Home Market Certification (RSPS). She has also earned her Transnational Referral Certification (TRC).
Carol served on the Island School Board for five years and served two years on the Island School Foundation. She was named 2011’s Entrepreneur of the Year by the Women’s Council of Realtors Englewood on the Gulf Chapter, and was also nominated for 2012’s State Entrepreneur of the Year. Carol has been recognized annually as an “Exceptional Realtor" by the WCR since 2009 and is a recipient of the 2014 Founder’s Award. The Boca Grande Chamber of Commerce honored Carol’s tenure as a five-year serving director, with two of those years as the Chamber’s president. She also headed the Chamber’s two tarpon tournaments, chaired its Scholarship Committee and served on the board of the Boca Grande Community House. Carol also represents her office on the Advisory Council for the MSC Foundation, a 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to various forms of charitable outreach in Southwest Florida.
Carol’s list of community involvements includes memberships in The Boca Grande Club, The Boca Grande Woman’s Club, The Barrier Island Parks Society, The Boca Grande Historical Society, and The Boca Grande Chamber of Commerce.
Carol enjoys fishing the local waters surrounding Boca Grande; joining her husband, well-known fishing guide Captain Doug Stewart, and their sons Tanner and Flynn. In 2005, she trained for then reached the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania with two of her siblings. The family are longtime members of the Boca Grande Lighthouse United Methodist Church.
