After spending my childhood in Hunter’s Creek Village, I graduated from Memorial High School in 1980 and received a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984. I lived in Australia for two years after college, then moved to California, where I cultivated a diverse management background, including two years in residential mortgage brokerage, 9 years in international trade management and 6 years in enterprise software sales management. Returning to Houston in 2001, I obtained my Real Estate License and joined my father, David H. Young, in residential real estate sales with Coldwell Banker United, Realtors. At that time, my father was the #1 selling agent in the Houston area in dollar volume sales, a position he held for 5 years. In January 2005, we started the David Young Team, bringing together 8 successful agents and 3 experienced assistants to provide the highest quality service to our clients. From 2005-2013, we were recognized by the Houston Business Journal as one of the Top 5 Teams in Houston, with sales volume in the $100-130 million per year range.
In December 2013, I moved to the Bellaire office of Coldwell Banker and established Young Realty Group with 3 other agents and an assistant. In 2014-2016, we closed an average of $30 million per year in sales transactions, achieving Coldwell Banker’s highest performance level – International President’s Elite. We were also recognized by the Houston Business Journal as the #12 team on their 2014 list of Top Residential Real Estate Teams in Luxury Sales. The opportunity arose to reunite with my father and work with the most respected brokerage in Houston, so in August 2017, I joined John Daugherty realtors, where I will expand my business even further. I work with buyers and sellers throughout the west side of Houston, from Downtown west to Katy, from Sugar Land north to the Woodlands. Completely satisfying my clients is my primary concern, because satisfied clients generate repeat business and referrals.
