A native of Ottawa and Kanata, Victoria has seen and experienced Kanata’s growth in homes, businesses and services. A strong business and marketing background, combined with her personal approach complements the skills of the Joan Smith Real Estate Family. After completing a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queen’s in Kingston, Victoria joined the Price Waterhouse Management Consultants Ottawa office and performed a variety of market research and marketing strategy projects for private and public sector clients including economic development work for municipalities, and market research work for Industry Canada, Sport Canada, and Educational Institutions. Victoria later went on to complete her Masters of Business Administration at Ottawa University and spent over 15 years in high technology marketing, presenting and interfacing with many customers and marketing technicians. Her work involved many facets of marketing including pricing, promotion, and channel and distribution plans. Victoria’s consistent marketing approach places great importance on understanding customer’s needs and objectives while examining current market dynamics. Using her communication and marketing planning skills Victoria can develop and execute a customized home marketing or buying plan. Growing up in a real estate family and now happily married to Luc and mother of three girls, Jacqueline, Danielle and Sarah, Victoria understands the significance of a home purchase or sale to a family and the factors to be considered. Schools, childcare, proximity to work, timing, etc. while optimizing budget, may all play a role in a home purchase or sale.
